North Branch Water and Light (NBW&L) provided Central Minnesota Housing Partnership a rebate check for $5,352 to support their energy efficiency efforts at their new Willow Grove Apartments. This property provides affordable housing to low income individuals who suffer from mental illness, and is one of only a few properties of its kind in the state. The intent of the property is to provide stable housing and services to residents, allowing them a safe, comfortable setting to live, find steady employment, further educational opportunities, and reconnect with family.

The property consists of 20 one-bedroom apartments, and includes a community room, on-site laundry, offices for support staff, and 24/7 front desk staff. The specific energy efficient equipment supported by NBW&L included ENERGY STARĀ® qualified dishwashers and refrigerators and exterior LED lighting. These investments are estimated to save approximately $2,500 per year on their energy costs. We appreciate all that you do and wish you continued success!
