Director of Property Management

Job Description

 

Primary responsibilities include general oversight of CMHP’s Property Management Division and asset management of organization’s portfolio of rental properties; expand the organization’s multi-family portfolio through acquisition, preservation and rehabilitation activities and through new construction development.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide supervision and oversight of Property Management staff

  • Annual budget preparation for CMHP, including all properties in CMHP’s portfolio

  • Asset Management of CMHP’s real estate portfolio

  • Act as contact for funders, partners and auditors

  • Overall responsibility for each property’s financial stability and monthly financial statement reviews

  • Target and evaluate potential acquisition of existing multi-family properties and work with owners and funders to complete transfer to and/or acquisition of properties to CMHP.

  • Work with CMHP’s development team to produce quality new multi-family projects.

  • Review and compliance of Section 42, Housing Choice Vouchers and USDA Rural Development program requirements​

  • Participate in the rehabilitation of CMHP owned properties, including draws and one year warranty inspections           

    SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiently maintain and operate desk top computer with a variety of software for generating reports, correspondence, brochures, and presentations (Windows, Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point, FHA, YARDI)

  • Must have access to reliable transportation and have the ability to travel to locations throughout CMHP’s service area

  • Must be willing to work a normal full-time work week; approximately 90% office time and 10% field work

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods, some bending, reaching and lifting up to 30 lbs.

  • Must have proficient skills to operate office machines, including but not limited to: computer, calculator, copy machine, fax machine, postage machine

  • Must be willing and able to maintain a professional and informed presence when representing Central Minnesota Housing Partnership in communities and counties, when working with state and federal organizations and at other public activities.

  • Position requires knowledge and understanding of multiple housing funding resources and programs​

OTHER:

  • Assists organization with public relations, outreach, preparation and distribution of marketing materials

  • Answer and respond to program/services inquiries

  • Follow confidentiality and sensitive information policies and procedures

  • Perform other duties as required

Education​

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent plus 3+ years related job experience
